Siddhartha Godbole

Associate – Urban Planning

Siddhartha has been working with ITDP India since 2020. He is an Architect-Urban Planner, working primarily in the cities of Maharashtra to improve and aid sustainable transport through effective urban planning, right policies, focussed action plans and on-ground supervision for Healthy Streets, Traffic Demand Management and Transit-oriented Development.

Before joining ITDP, Siddhartha worked for two years in an architecture firm as a lead architect for institutional projects. Later he joined CEPT University to study Urban Planning. At CEPT, he took a keen interest in integrating transport and spatial planning, which culminated in his thesis, which measured the success of TOD implementation in Indian cities through a set of contextual KPIs. He has co-authored ‘LAP for Transit: An Illustrated Handbook for Indian Cities’. Siddhartha received the “Academic Achievement Award” and “GICEA Gold Medal” for his performance at CEPT University.

Apart from work, Siddhartha enjoys good literature, music and movies. He is an avid cricket player and a fan, apart from being a National level Karate Player. Occasionally he plays tabla (and indian percussion instrument). He aspires to see cities providing equal opportunities and infrastructure for all.
