Smritika Srinivasan

Associate – Urban Development

Smritika is an architect and urban designer by training and aspires to support cities in creating walking and cycling-friendly neighbourhoods. As part of the Healthy Streets initiatives at ITDP, she guides multiple cities across India and has developed technical resources for two national programmes—the India Cycles4Change and Streets4People Challenges. Smritika has also been actively involved in Road Safety works in Chennai, leveraging her keen interest in research and data analytics.

With a Master of Science in Urban Design degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Smritika has gained valuable experience working with the City of San Antonio and Laredo in the USA. During her career, she has demonstrated her expertise in developing district and neighbourhood-level design guidelines, devising street design solutions, and conceptualising master planning projects.

Outside work, Smritika enjoys brewing and drinking her coffee, visiting coffee shops, reading, and trying to keep her plants alive.
