Rutuja is an Architect – Urban Designer involved with technical and advocacy work with the Urban Development team. Besides this, she is also involved in parallel research studies that ensure sustainable development at the city, state, and national levels.
Having completed her Bachelor’s in Architecture from Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Architecture, Navi Mumbai, and Master’s in Urban Design from CEPT University, Ahmedabad- Rutuja, has joined ITDP in 2022. Before joining ITDP, she worked with The Urban Lab, Ahmedabad, and the Directorate of Urban Land Transport, Bangalore. During these engagements, she worked on several sustainable mobility projects, including street design projects, Design guidelines for Fort Kochi, an NMT-oriented heritage trail for Vijayapura, and research projects like Public Bicycle Sharing Systems in India, among others.
In her leisure time, Rutuja is usually cooped in at home, reading or binge-watching. Occasionally, you might find her on random weekend trips experiencing different cultures and places.
